Dana is our "Buddy" and one we could not live without. Jaylene is wonderful as we had many questions also. Jaylene answered each question in a timely manor. We weren't as organized as you. We sent many emails to Jaylene. Dana has not had any health issues...just the regular shots and flea/tick...plus heartworm preventive. Some of our favorite things about our Puggle is that she loves to sit and watch TV with us in the evenings. She also loves to get in bed with us in the morning while we read the paper and drink our coffee. She is like our child and we treat her as one. We really can't say there are things we wished we knew before we got our puggle.Other than the regular puppy training that comes with all dogs, Dana is smart, quick to learn, slightly stubborn at times with commands but has worked through all of that. Dana was a year old in November. We cannot imagine our life before Dana and we absolutely could not do without her. She is our best friend. We took Dana away from the crate while she was still very young. We put a gate on our Laundry Room door and used the puppy pads for her. This has been great. My friends complain that their dogs don't want to get their feet wet when it is raining or it is hot or cold weather and they don't want to get out...Not us...Dana still uses the puppy pads today. When she has to go potty she just goes to her room and goes. Then...she barks and we know it is time for clean up duties. She is very particular about cleanliness.Dana is about 18 lbs now and she is fully grown. Expect shedding. We thought short haired dogs didn't shed...but...they do. We are very particular about our living conditions and are happy to say Dana tries to be clean also! Ha! Puggles by nature are lap dogs. They love to be scratched and patted and are generous with their kisses. When I have Dana in my lap petting her and I stop scratching her tummy, she hits my hand with her paw to let me know she is not finished being petted. If we had it to do over again...we would have gotten two puggles. Jaylene, Thank you so much for bringing this little guy into our lives. He brings us so much joy and love. He loves everyone, especially other animals, if animal planet is on he loves to watch the tv. He plays so well with other dogs and kids too. He is a very good boy. We take him for walks and out visiting, he goes everywhere with us, he is our little baby. He knows that he is just so cute and can get whatever he wants from us. We just found with the warmer weather his new love for ice cubes. Dakota really loves to play outside too. We really can't say enough about him he is just the best thing that could ever have happened to us. I had a little health scare when we got him and he helped us get through it and now I am all better and we have this little bundle of joy. We hope to get another peagle we just love him so much. Jaylene, I bought a puggle named Renee from you last October and I just wanted to share some exciting news with you. She recieved Honorable Mention in the Mixed Up Mutt contest for DogFancy magazine. She goes by Bailey now, but her picture is in the October 2007 issue on page 31. I thought you might like to at least see what she looks like now or maybe even put it on your website. Let me know if you have any trouble getting the magazine and I can send you a copy. It was so exciting I bought a few extra copies! Thanks, Jen Kohr

The long way around!!! Jaylene, Hi there this is soo exciting :) We changed her name to Ava, since that was the name we wanted to name her, but she is doing amazing, we actually bought her off a girl who lives in our town (Kelowna, British Columbia Canada) but the lady said she got her from someone in Fort Langley, BC Canada)

Jackie(Puggle) I highly recommend reading some positive dog training books by Karen Pryor and consider clicker training your new puppy. I use clicker training with Jack. By the end of the first week, she was doing "sit," "down," and "high-5." She is 6 months old now and does "off," "up," "come," "stop," "spin," and "raise you ten." She also is completely potty-trained. Just some ideas I found helpful when I got Jack.

Just wanted to send a couple new pictures of our little guy…He has added so much to our life. It’s official that he’s made us a little family that we just can’t thank you enough! Also, I had mentioned before that one of my colleagues Jimmy Louie are getting a beagle from you and has first pick of the boys that was recently born. Everyday I ask him for pictures and wanting to help pick out the little guy…so just know that the east coast is waiting anxiously for the new pictures for a new addition out here. Any chance that one of Dexter’s parents were involved? So cool if so!! Anyway, just wanted to send you some updated pictures and a thumbs up on his progress! He’s now 20 pounds, eating healthy, a bit of a chewer but well worth any drama he brings. And he’s more popular in the neighborhood than we are…we are only known at Dexter’s Mom or Dad by everyone that walks by. Hope you are well and keep me posted on the new beagles above…the office is excited for the new addition. (I bring Dex with me to work at least once a month and Jimmy’s little guy will be next) J Take care. Jackie Reinking (previously Cutburth)

Hello Jaylene, I bought Barlow (aka Doug) from you back in March and I want you to know how well he's doing. He's currently 18' tall and is 45lbs. He's just a stout little guy and he's the biggest sweetheart. I've had so many compliments on him and I wanted to extend my compliments to you and thank you for breedind such wonderful puppies. From the beginning he had so much postive energy and it was hard for people not to pat him and other dogs not to play with him. I could not have ask for a better best friend. I've had more people compliment his looks than you can imagen. He's really is one of the best looking puggles we have ever seen around. My mother absolute loves him and my father (who isn't too fond of dogs anymore) found himself enjoying Barlow and will play with him from time to time. So once again I would like to tell you how much I greatly appreciated all you have done to breeding and raising such a wonderful breed. I would also like to get Barlow a brother or a sister in the near future and I would love to get them through you. Thank you again and have a great day and a very Merry Christmas. Cheers~ Celia Scanzo and Barlow

Hi Jaylene, Just thought I would let you know that Asia is doing really well. Asia is cheeky, loving, affectionate, and bright. She is really fitting in well with our family and we have all just fallen in love with her. She sleeps well through the night, has learned to sit and lay down on cue, and the house training is progressing really well (she goes outside about 75% of the time). Everyone who sees her thinks she is just the most beautiful dog they have ever seen and I have given many people your contact information. My husband and I are thinking that we may even adopt a second pocket from you when Asia matures a bit….maybe after Christmas!?!...we will see. Anyhow, I have attached a couple of pictures just in case you want them for your files or website…they were taken at 9 ½ weeks. Again, thank you for everything. We just got home from the airport to pick up our new AKC beagle from Oklahoma. (Thanks Jaylene!) We’re calling him Copper. He is a 12 inch and stocky compared to Freckles – but you can see her dainty head and taller legs will complement him nicely in future litters. I can see the puppies will be a perfect combination of both! They both are five months old, and we’re going to try to do agility with them for a few seasons before puppies come along. My mom got him for me for my 40th (today) – Best, --K.
